All Derwent Walks (the "Events") are organised and run by
volunteers in aid of Cancer Research UK. The volunteers are
external to, and not part of Cancer Research UK. Please
contact us directly to find out more information about what
is happening in your area.
- By taking part in an Event, participants confirm that
they are happy for their names and any footage or
photographs taken during their participation in the Event to
be used by the organisers and Cancer Research UK to
publicise Events, organise Events, and by Cancer Research UK
generally, including in online publicity and television
broadcasts.
- Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take
part in an Event should take medical advice from a general
practitioner prior to the Event.
- All participants enter the Events entirely at their own
risk and the organisers shall not be liable for any injury
or loss that participants suffer as a result of taking part
in the Event, except where an injury results from the
negligence of the organisers.
- All under 18 participants in the Events must be
accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult at
all times.
- In the case of emergency the organisers or Cancer
Research UK may use the details provided by you to contact
your home or office.
- You have a legal responsibility to ensure that all
sponsorship monies/donations received by you for the Event
are paid to Cancer Research UK.
- As the Events are external to Cancer Research UK, Cancer
Research UK shall not be liable for any loss or damage that
participants suffer as a result of taking part in the
Events.
- Use of our website is subject to
Cancer Research UK's website Terms and Conditions.
By participating in the Derwent Walk 2008 for which you have
registered, you agree to comply with the above rules. If you
believe you are unable to comply then you must
write to us in advance of your event.
